Position Overview:
Speech and Swallowing Therapy Cambodia (SSTC) is seeking applications for a full-time Organizational and Fundraising Director.
The OFD reports to SSTC’s Board of Directors, or assigned designate. This senior leadership role within the organization is responsible for mission-driven fundraising; providing strategic program oversight and organizational leadership; engaging with the Board of Directors; financial and regulatory oversight and compliance; and leading stakeholder relations and public engagement. The role is suitable for those with at least four years of management or senior leadership experience and at least three years of proven experience in fundraising, donor development or grant acquisition
This position requires a strategic, innovative and adaptable individual who will bring passion to the role, has excellent written and spoken skills in Khmer and English, and has a vision to help carry SSTC forward into a self-sustained Cambodian future.
From October 2026 onwards, the successful candidate will need to have raised sufficient funds to cover all basic operating costs of the organization (including all staff salaries), plus a minimum target for programs and projects. Fundraising targets, key performance indicators (KPIs) and timelines will be provided during the recruitment process.

Expectations – Duties, Responsibilities
- Mission-Driven Fundraising (approximately 40%): Ensure funding of SSTC’s operations, projects and strategic plans (includes securing grant funding, expanding donor base, managing budget reprojections)
- Strategic Program Oversight & Organizational Leadership (approximately 25 – 30%): Provide dynamic, collaborative leadership to ensure organizational and program success
- Board of Directors Engagement (approximately 5-10%): Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, to ensure financial and organizational stability, and high-quality delivery of mission driven, strategically aligned projects.
- Financial and Regulatory Oversight & Compliance (approximately 10%). Provide excellent financial stewardship of the organization.
- Stakeholder Relations and Public Engagement (approximately 15%): Strategically communicate our vision and impact to relevant stakeholders, in order to fully realize SSTC’s mission and vision.
- Contribute to a Positive Work Environment. Act in alignment with the organization’s core values and ethical standards, and foster a productive working relationships with team members and external partners.

Requirements – Skills, Qualifications, Experience
Essential criteria:
- Leadership expertise: : At least four years of management or senior leadership experience with non-profit organizations or NGOs, preferably in the healthcare or education sectors.
- Fundraising expertise: Proven results in securing funding, with at least three years of experience in fundraising, donor development or grant acquisition, preferably in a non-profit or international development context.
- Language skills: High proficiency in Khmer and English (written and spoken).
Additional Required Skills & Experience:
- Leadership & Management: Experience managing a small, diverse team; experience leading across cultures to inspire staff, partners, and Board members
- Strategic Thinking: Proven success in strategic planning, program development, oversight and review to align a non-profit’s activities with long-term goals and mission.
- Mission Alignment: Commitment to addressing inequities in Cambodian society (e.g. health, social or education). The ideal candidate would possess an understanding of the challenges of healthcare delivery or training in low-resource settings.
- Capacity Building: Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of capacity building or health-systems strengthening within majority world contexts (especially in Cambodia and/or Southeast Asia).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage staff in progressive and empowering ways, and advocate for SSTC’s mission effectively both locally and internationally.
- Relationships and Connections: Possess a relevant network or connections that can be leveraged to progress SSTC’s mission. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to achieve mission-based goals. Proven ability to create, grow and maintain strong partnerships, such as with government bodies, educational institutions, healthcare partners, and national, international funding agencies, individuals or organizations.

Engagement and Administrative Officer

Position Overview:
The Engagement and Administrative Officer (EAO) reports to the Organizational and Fundraising Director (OFD). This is a key role for SSTC’s public engagement, partnerships and program work. The position is responsible for ensuring strategic, clear communications and engagement with SSTC’s partners, successful fundraising campaigns, and the smooth operations of the organization. This includes implementing communications, social media and fundraising activities; maintaining strong relationships with the organization’s partners; supporting the operations of SSTC’s programs; and general administration to ensure a functional and professional organization.
This role is suitable for those with at least 2 years of experience within communications, fundraising, or marketing roles. It requires a creative and detail-oriented person with strong organizational skills, and excellent written and spoken skills in Khmer and English.

- Implement communications and fundraising strategies and activities
- Ensure all external communications align with SSTC’s mission, vision, values, messaging and branding
- Create materials for public engagement and fundraising activities
- Gather and develop photos, video, audio, data and other content
- Manage SSTC’s online presence
- Analyze the performance of social media posts, online advertising, website, and fundraising activities
- Maintain communication and documentation with stakeholders
- Support the planning and implementation of programs
- Maintain relationships and activities with relevant government ministries
- Manage all general organizational and office administration and logistics
- Occasional Khmer and English translations
- Act in alignment with SSTC’s core values and ethical standards

Requirements – Skills, Qualifications, Experience
Essential criteria:
- Commitment to supporting SSTC’s mission, vision and values, and contributing to the organization’s growth.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Fundraising, resources mobilization, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in communication, fundraising, marketing, social media management, grant writing, partnership coordination, or related roles, preferably within an NGO or social development organization.
- Bilingual proficiency in Khmer and English, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, and strong translation skills.
- Proven experience in creating communication and fundraising materials such as brochures, videos, newsletters, or social media content.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, engagement strategies, and content design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, or similar).
- Experience in an administrative role, including government reporting and compliance procedures.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online collaboration tools.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated and responsible.
