Make a lasting impact using your skills as a speech-language pathologist

Speech and Swallowing Therapy Cambodia is often looking for expert speech-language pathologists (SLP) or speech-language therapists (SLT) to volunteer with us with our work. Please contact us to inquire about current volunteer opportunities.
We typically require our volunteer SLPs and SLTs to have at least five years of dysphagia management experience and a proven track record of supervising or teaching others.
Opportunities may be in country, providing direct supervision and teaching to Cambodian clinicians. We also have remote opportunities, such as providing continuing education online to clinicians. This may include:
- Q&A for problem solving in their practices
- Brief webinars on learning needs that they identify
- Analyses of iPad recordings they have made of their on-site dysphagia evaluations
Cambodia does not require state licensing in telehealth for these activities.
If you share our core values and want to use your skills and expertise as a SLP or SLT to help us educate and empower clinicians in Cambodia, contact us!

“Before working with Speech Therapy Cambodia, we usually would just put in a nasogastric feeding tube for patients in our hospital with swallowing problems.
STC helped me to determine a proper diagnosis with a full evaluation . . . as well as to learn dietary changes and oral and throat exercises to recommend to patients. After training, it helped me to better care for patients and to reduce pneumonia, improve swallowing, and it didn’t have a high rate of putting in NG tubes.“
– Ms. Touch Sengmouy, nurse, neurology department at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital
